Aloha Käkou
First and foremost, thank you for visiting our website. We hope that you find the site informative and useful.
The website and magazine are geared toward providing information about our sport and its community. Our intent is to help build culture, one that is focused on increasing and realizing one’s potential… in athletics, academics, community – service and support, and development. By building culture, we hope to build community as well. A community that will go farther together than it can separately.
HawaiiVB covers some of the main aspects of development as they relate to our sport – physical skills, philosophy, mental excellence, injury prevention and treatment, and nutrition. HawaiiVB also cover topics closer to home – within our own Hawaii volleyball community. We ask student-athletes, parents, and club directors to reflect on various topics. We hope to offer discussion on our community, the need to give back, and how it impacts the lives of those involved. We also feature members of various organizations. We want you the reader or visitor to have a chance to get to know us (the community) and us you. To round it out, we provide information on future events – clinics, tournaments, and educational opportunities to name a few.
In addition to providing viable information about development, the community, and future events, we hope that HawaiiVB encourages some level of dialog… constructive and cooperative dialog. There is a wealth of knowledge on the island and I hope that we can share varied experiences and perspectives for the betterment of our young student-athletes.
In closing, all of our publications can be under our magazine link to the left. We appreciate your support and hope you find value in HawaiiVB's website and magazine. Please encourage others to visit or pick up a copy of our magazine.
Mahalo,
